Pokemon fans can snag the wildly popular Monopoly: Pokemon Edition for just $16 as multiple retailers drop the board game's price to a new historic low.

Monopoly: Pokemon Edition has been discounted to only $16 (down from $25) at Amazon, Walmart, and Target—one of the steepest markdowns the licensed board game has received since its December release. Featuring a vibrant board, unique Pokemon-themed mechanics, and miniature starter Pokémon tokens, the edition blends classic Monopoly structure with a faster, more streamlined pace tailored for families and fans alike.

Players replace traditional property acquisition with Poke Ball-powered encounters across the board, racing to catch eight different Pokemon or outlast opponents with their remaining resources. Despite its popularity, the game surprisingly launched at $25 rather than the typical $40-plus price tag common among franchise Monopoly editions.

Target’s sale is set to expire Friday, and past pricing patterns suggest Amazon may end its deal soon after—making now the best time to grab it before stock or discounts disappear.

Collectors may also be interested in older editions making unexpected returns. Monopoly: Pokemon Kanto Edition (2014) is available again for around $45, featuring metal tokens of classic favorites like Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Eevee, and Jigglypuff. Meanwhile, the Johto Edition (2016) is listed by resellers for about $58 and includes figures of Pikachu, Totodile, Togepi, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Pichu.

Beyond Monopoly, Ravensburger’s Pokemon Labyrinth offers another family-friendly board game option. Matches last around 30 minutes as players navigate an ever-shifting maze in search of Pokémon. A glow-in-the-dark variant released last fall enhances nighttime play sessions, with both editions retailing at $30.

New trainers looking to jump into the Pokémon Trading Card Game can also grab steep discounts on the 2022 and 2024 Battle Academy sets. Each bundle includes three prebuilt decks, a playmat, and simplified rules designed to teach newcomers the fundamentals of TCG play.
